Marquise Halo Setting Engagement Ring Circa 1910
The Sydney Ring is a vintage marquise halo setting engagement ring from the Edwardian era, circa 1910! This work of art centers a beautiful antique cushion old mine cut diamond of approximately 0.38 carats, J-K color, VS2 clarity. The diamond is bezel set in platinum with millegrain detail and is bordered to the north and south by a bezel-set old European cut diamond, each weighing approximately 0.18 carats. In the marquise-shaped face lay 12 rose cut diamonds and 2 old mine cut diamonds set amidst scrolling platinum metalwork atop an 18kt yellow gold setting. The band is a delicate yellow gold with fluting lining all around. The ring is size 6.75.
